Don Miller, MA, LMT
“Healthy muscles don’t hurt.” It sounds too simple, but it is true.
Soft tissue pain can range from a minor nuisance to a life changing limitation. Don believes that soft tissue pain can be alleviated. He provides therapeutic-medical and sports massages using a variety of neuromsucular massage techniques. Clients and patients with soft tissue pain, acute or chronic tendon and ligament problems will benefit from his caring thorough approach.
Treatments include an integrated approach to “loosen, lengthen and strengthen” tight-sore muscles. Trigger Point Therapy is an effective way of dealing with chronically tight muscles and pain referral patterns that produce “mystery pains” or headaches. Physiologically sound neuromuscular stretching helps restore a healthy range of motion. Loosened and lengthened muscles are then strengthened to stabilize and restore full function
With a longtime commitment to health and active living, Don has a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology as well as specialized massage training including therapeutic and sports massage. Athletes and non-athletes alike of all ages, appreciate Don's commitment to helping them stay healthy and active
He is certified with the National Certification Board of Massage Therapy and Bodywork (NCBMTB) and a member of the American Medical Massage Association.
Special interest areas include:
Neuromuscular Therapy, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, PNF Stretching Injury Rehabilitation, Scar Tissue Therapy, Forearm Treatments (Carpal Tunnel and Tennis Elbow), and Sports Massage for the everyday athlete.
